About Pazhoothadam and Memalai Estates
This cluster combines Pazhoothadam and Memalai Estates situated close to the Western Ghats of Kerala. Owned by The Kuttanad Rubber Company is a subsidiary of Kelachandra Coffee. High-yielding rubber is the main cultivation at the Pazhoothadam estate.which makes it the oldest of all our clusters.
The Memalai Estate is a plantation property that is located near the tropical and scenic Kuttikanam town at an altitude of about 3600 feet above MSL. A 100-year-old check dam across a perennial stream and a freshwater well located at the hilltop provide a natural source of irrigation for crops in the valley.
The aromatic cardamom plantation, the gurgling streams, and preserved wilderness are a treat to the senses here.
